I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved birdie. They quickly grab our hearts and don't let go, even after they leave us for the Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry for your loss...know exactly how you feel and what you're going through. It's been a little over a year since we lost our Simon, and his tragic death brings us to tears even yet. We got another parrotlet 3 months after our little guy passed; and although he's coming around, he's just not the same. We love him regardless, but when you have a really, really special bird, you can never replace him/her, ever.

There are some birds that shine in a special way and the grief of their loss definitely lingers, and from one to another each is very much a different individual - one never really replaces another. I wish you well.
