Advice on introducing a 2nd Parrotlet

Troubles with the first female accepting a male.

Wow lucky you! That's fantastic news! Just keep an eye out to make sure they don't fight.
It sure is wonderful you may be able to keep the boy, he's so beautiful.
Have you thought about what you will do if they are mating? I'm guessing you don't want baby birds, and egg laying can be very hard on the female. She may lay eggs even without a nest box. It takes a lot of nutrients and can become dangerous if she is unable to lay an egg (egg bound)
For the sake of avoiding all that, you may like a cage with a divider in it. You can keep the divider in while your away and they can still visit as you intended, and when your home you can remove it and then play inside or outside supervised and just discourage the mating. My friend has two pairs that live very nicely this way.
My pair was doing well like this untill she started plucking. I think it was many things, I have successfully separated them now. Just beware it can become problematic in the future also, but sounds promising at the moment!
