Great idea to keep track.
What kind of foods does Odin eat? Some Roudybush pellets and Nutriberries?

Looks like a parrotlet to me! I love how extreme the changes look when they are actually no more than about a gram of weight.

Wow that's what I was thinking! I never think much of a couple gram variation (like maybe they just ate a nutriberrie lol) but when you see it like that! Wow

His diet is far from perfect and gives me worry sometimes:

- 2-4 tsp of seed mix (sunflower seeds removed)
- 0.5 tsp of chia seeds
- NutriBird pellets, small and medium (he rarely bothers to eat those unless they are soaked in orange juice);
- oats and other cereals;
- fruit (if it has seeds), we can't get him to eat banana unless if it's out of ours
- broccoli, corn and peppers (though he mostly goes for the seed in those and doesn't seem to really swallow any of the flesh)
- nimbles on herbs and spices (BTW, is Parsley fine to give? I find contradicting info)
- mash, but doesn't eat that much of it...probably 1 tsp
- as treats: nut, special mixes with egg and other goodies (written on the package to give 10-30% of total food), sunflower seeds, safflower seeds and other stuff I forget about now.

We used to give him the healthy food in the mornings but I think he's outsmarted us, he just ignores it until the afternoon when we have no choice but to give him pellets or seeds. I throw it away

That's why he dropped to 29.3, I guess. We're giving him some millet and more treats, to compensate. Doesn't help with his stubbornness towards fresh food...

BTW, for the past months, at least, I only measured him in the morning.

I once measured him after a few meals and the difference was bigger than 1 gram!

He's fine and it's always a good thing to track the weight whenever you are worried. By the way, I love his little graduate cap in his photo!

I know what you mean. There was a time that Jules lost weight so I watch her weight closely. Really surprised me that she was a 1.5 grams heavier when full then empty.

As a researcher, love this approach to Odin's weight log

He seems to be in a healthy zone to me! Levi is a small parrotlet, between 27-28g depending on the day and time of day. He has pellets in his cage all the time, and then he gets a couple nutriberries and probably a teaspoon of seeds each day plus however much fresh food he feels like eating that day... I also struggle with getting him to eat his fresh food. He likes peas and corn (but who doesn't, they're so sweet!) and broccoli, and red pepper seeds but won't touch fruit. He will sometimes each spinach or kale. I offer him different foods all the time but he just isn't an adventurous bird!
