Stainless steel bowls are cleaned with white vinegar for Ollie's cage, easy enough.

I just ordered two medium vision cages, the normal size, not the tall.

I have the large like this, the med is not that much smaller it's a good choice. I like the wide ones also, seems like all mine sit at the top and you can hang more toys up there.
Melody won't eat on the bottom but all my other do.
I find they are a little clangyer (not a word I know) but all my cages I hear them climbing.

they moved into their new cages yesterday morning. it was very easy to assemble the cages, took us about 10 minutes per cage.
the medium cage is a nice size for a single parrotlet. they seem to spent more time on the bottom in this cage and they already now where to find the food.
no mess outside the cages so far. like it!

They look great!
May I suggest one thing? I noticed you have a lot of dowel type perches. They are not good on the feet, it's much better to have a variety for foot exercise and to keep the feet from being the same all the time. I like ropes, natural wood perches, a cement perch, things like that.
You will love that the hang out on the bottom, it does contain the mess nicely.

thank you!

I have to get used to the new cage and decorating it, that is for sure!

I don't use cotton rope perches because my female will destroy them and i'm afraid for crop blockage caused by swallowed rope materials.
the perches you see in the picture are these, not the standard dowels, i think these are ok to use?

I have that cage for Huey, When I first got it, I had ladders because I thought he would not be able to get up from the bottom because of the plastic.

He never used the ladders, he uses one of those bungee perches that goes around like a spring. Now he even kind of hops up if he is on the other side of the cage from the bottom.

I also use the plastic bowls that came with it, I was looking for another set but have not found them in any of our stores here. I wash them out every day and they are fine. No slime on them at all.
