Forgot to upload the new baby photo this week. This is Oliver at 5 1/2 weeks of age.

It is just my luck that--of course--he is the one on the far left, with his eyes CLOSED. Ha ha... (Could be worse, I suppose. He could be the one with his back turned! Lol.)

I will be bringing Oliver home in about two weeks.

Hehehehe, he's napping to gather his strength for future mischief! Yes, the beaks are quite sharp, so you will need bandaids. When Tumi was going through the baby "beaking" phase where they taste everything with their beak (it isn't biting, but the results can be the same), I kept a small plastic bird toy key in my hand to shove in his beak instead. It helps prevent holes in everything you own.

Two more weeks! That's so close! Are you getting excited yet? And yes, their beaks are very sharp, and at the start they use them on EVERYTHING. (Not that they ever completely stop). Distraction is a good suggestion. It's a method I still use when Micah gets to chewing on something he shouldn't.

Love the photos. Oliver will be very handsome ---- smart, curious and a little clumsy. They get over the clumsiness, and stay smart and curious. Keep us posted!

Lovely boy. I remember seeing a picture of baby Odin and getting really excited. Your first parrotlet?

He looks beautiful! Yes the beaks are sharp. My Mosey bites (pecks) at everything. He bites be about ten times a day....He doesn't bite hard at all. The fact that I know he can bite a LOT harder and doesn't, makes me appreciate him more.
