Bernie suddenly died! What happened?

He was so healthy and active just yesterday!! And then this morning he didn't want to be handfed and then he was dead. He's gone. My Christmas angel is already gone.

What did I do wrong? How could I have prevented this. I thought I took every precaution. I tried so hard.

Could a vet tell me the cause of death?

I feel so guilty but I don't know what I did wrong. :,( he died only 10 minutes ago.

Unhappy What happened to Bernie?

I lost 2 female parrotlets after having them for 6 months. I got them in pairs from 2 different people. They were just dead on the floor of their cage. I have no idea why. You never know. Love for today!

I'm sorry for your loss. When two birds die at the same time, it is almost always caused by environmental factors. Things such as non-stick cookware produces poisonous fumes, as well as air "fresheners" and almost all cleaning products. Additionally, I would also make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector, as there is a reason that miners once brought canaries with them to test the air. It is really tough losing a bird, and we rarely get the closure of a reason why it happened.

I'm so sorry. To loose both at the same time is just terrible.
