Toy Must Haves

This thread is for people to share or post pictures of toys or ideas that their birds love.

It is important to remember that parrotlets enjoy a lot of toys in their cage. Make sure they are spaced so that your bird still has enough room to fly around the cage as well. If there are not enough toys, the parrotlet will become bored quickly. Also remember to change up the layout of the cage so the bird will, again, not be bored.

Make sure you post:
A picture
A description
Where you got or how you made this toy

Enjoy!

I don't have a picture but I can describe them. Azuki's latest favorite toys have little appendages and they are attached to the end of my legs. Lol My feet are my little weirdos latest obsession and chew toy. I have to keep them hidden when I'm not standing or he's on full attack. It's obvious he's playing though because he makes joyful attack sounds not kill it attack sounds. Plus, he doesn't really bite. He just pounces on them until I pounce back. At least it's an inexpensive toy. Haha

I am looking for parrotlet size roller skates and a scooter. I can only find them for larger birds. My last bird loved to skate and was a demon on the scooter. I'm getting Little Napo in a couple of weeks and want to be ready.

Probably the best "toy" in the cage according to Miss Saffron and it's pretty much free. :-) I just give her the toilet paper roll with a few pieces left on it, cut small slits on each end, then hang it with sisal. About the time she's completely shredded it I have a new roll ready for her.

I put some of the food that Saffron's usually reluctant to eat inside sometimes and she'll go right for it! Granted, I have to throw the tp roll away after, but it gets her eating different foods.

GREAT Idea!

And I like Bird Ladies suggestion to add paper inside the empty roll to assist with foraging needs.
