If you need ideas for toys ....

Kris Porter who wrote and provided the free on-line book, Parrot Enrichment Activity Book, now has a website with even more information, still all free for parrot owners!

http://www.parrotenrichment.com/

Lots of great ideas here to keep your birds happy and busy.

Thumbs up

I read through this online book and downloaded a copy for myself. This book is wonderful! It comes with a note: "The Parrot Enrichment Activity Book, V 2.0 Copyright 2007 Kris Porter. All rights reserved. This book may be printed, shared and distributed so long as it remains fully intact including this copyright notice and no profit is made from its distribution or use."

Thanks so much for sharing with us!!

Toys

No matter what I buy, Willow prefers water bottle caps. She pushes them around, drops them off the counter and then yells at them. Then flies down to push them around on the floor. Some times the simplest things give them the most fun. She also chases a ping pong ball around. Kind playing soccer with it. She bats it with her head and then chases it.

thanks for sharing that web site. I'm always looking for new and fun ideas for toys.

Seeing Seamus likes bells, I put a couple of bells, alternating with fun buttons, on a piece of ribbon and hang it. He loves it!

There was a link on here about making toys for their birds and it showed her husband using a band saw to cut the phone book into smaller peices/ I just take a bunch of pages and make them about 3 inches wide and put them over the wires on the cage and Sprout goes grazy shredding them. you can go look at my albums and you maybe able to see whats left of one
