If eating apple seeds is toxic, it's probably from eating them over a period of time, and not from eating a few. He's doing perfectly fine....Don't worry no more apple seeds for him! I mentioned that his personality is changing for the better. I wonder if.........(just kidding)

That's wonderful. Another story to affirm they really can change over time. There is always hope for a bird to change its attitude towards you.

tijya will become famous soon enough

I was out all day yesterday and didn't get home until 7 PM. I was sad because I knew I'd miss Nichi time and possibly Kingston time (he puts himself to bed earlier when I'm not home).

But he was still up and flew over and landed on me to tell me all about his day and to get kisses.

And Nichi is one amazing bird these days. We have not so amazing days, but the good days more than make up for it. A few weeks ago my husband was sick with a cold and she stayed quiet all day. Super uncommon for her because weekends = party time.

Now I'm sick and she's being awesome for me. I slept on the couch last night and moved to the bed once my husband got up and left for work. I couldn't fall back asleep up there so came back to the couch. Usually when I get up she's wanting her morning food and attention.

But she let me get to the couch so I figured she didn't hear me. But then I coughed a few times and I heard her moving around so she knew I was up. She stayed quiet until I had a super bad coughing fit. She was screaming, but stopped once I told her I was ok.

I'm sure it's temporary and I will need to move to the coffee shop to work between 4-6 while she waits for my husband (her person) to get home. His schedule varies which messes her up a bit.

But man, these are awesome pets. Also, shout out to the bunny who slept by the couch all night with me.

You are so RIGHT! Over the years, we've had over a dozen dogs, half dozen cats, two snakes, fish, rabbits and hamsters...and two children. Nothing(except the kids) has captured our hearts as much as these little buggers. It would've been pretty hard walking around the house with an English Pointer sitting on my shoulder.

Last night Kingston stepped up onto my finger and perched there for at least 30 minutes. <3

Totally a new thing for him because he's so nervous of hands. My husband can give him scritches, but I still can't. But progress!

Had another random thought....it seems that Nichi the Sun Conure has a scream to tell Kingston to shut up. And it works. Hilarious!

Hmm, I wonder if she's realized that he gets her going and then she gets "in trouble" because she does her real screaming? So instead, she gets him to stop? Not sure that she is that smart.

Yay Kingston and Nichi! Hehehe! I find that when it comes to parrots, it is best to assume that they ARE that smart and plotting against you. They play their cards close to the vest, but they are rather crafty creatures.

Awe! I look forward to the day Tobie will do that. I think his record on my finger is about 5 minutes, 5 very nervous minutes......
