Higgins Sunburst has both sunflower and safflower. That is what my guys eat, mixed half and half with Goldenfeast petite hookbill.

No sunflower in Safflower Gold. That is my favorite one so far. Right now I have Volkman's because the store was out of Safflower Gold, but once we are done we will be backbe Safflower Gold.

Good to know the difference. My breeder said she uses Higgins Cockatiel seed, but I don't know which kind. Will have to ask...

Hi !
Grace is right on!
Recently, my 8 year old p'lett named Bogie went on a 11 gram weight plunge! ( He went from 34 grams to 23 grams). Grace sent me some samples of different seeds, etc, and the Sunburst mixed half and half with Goldenfeast petite small hookbill got him on the right track! He is now 32 grams and feeling great!

David and Bogie.

Hi, David - I am so glad Boogie is doing well on that mixture! It's great that he has gained that much weight too!
