@MRS.JP3:
are you the one that was changing the birds diet over to a more pelleted diet because of the bad feathers? how is this working out so far?

I've recently made the switch to stop feeding any pellets at all, but because of a serious illness in the family i had to switch them back to pellets/sprouts/dry seeds and some veggies due to the busy schedule, so i can't say if the feather quality would be better with a mostly fresh diet.... do you see any changes already?

Hello guys completely new to thus page so not sure if i am posting in the right place..

I bought a parrot let just before Christmas it wasn't very old probably 3 months it was pure green but lately its started growing yellow feathers on its wings, tail & back, also the head got little white stalks on it don't no if that's new feathers? It seems to be going dark green around the back of the head an top of the back? Any ideas why? She's been plucking a bit to :/ her name is Georgie

The white things are pin feathers. Feathers grow out inside a wax like tube. Sometimes you can help by breaking the wax between your finger tips or nails. The coloring is very pretty.

Genetics, he is either a green marbled or a green pied parrotlet.
