When it comes to cage size for parrotlets, always buy for activity level, which is large cockatiel, not physical size. I wouldn't keep a parakeet in the cage I use as a sleeping cage...it is just too small for anything else.

Exactly!! I'm mad that I chose to buy this cage at $40!!!!! It is only $12 right now!!! And it's actually under the requirements. He isn't out that often and i'm trying to get a cage as big as possible under $130. I have two picked out so far... can't decide.

New cage

Perfect cage for parrotlet. Horizontal bars, 4 feeder doors, 1 breeder door (I use to attach bath), open top, landing door, 18x32. I set it on a kitchen cart which has a side bar that I can hang blanket.

That's nice, it almost exactly like Melody's! She likes hers and so do I.

Here's the setup of Theo's new Hagen Vision Cage in M02. I'm thinking of adding a few more perches or another rope perch new the bottom for accessibility...and more toys? By the way, I'm not using the plastic feeders at the base - I'm just keeping them because the color looks nice.

I orignally put ladders from the floor to the first bar but my bird never used them, but he can fly. I took them out. I use the bowls that came with the cage and I keep them on the bottom too.

Kiwi Castle

Vision Cage. He loves his home. Can get a little heavy with all the toys
hanging, when I clean it.
