This is sooooo true! More with Merlin on the vocalizations than the parrotlets though. We bird people are weird.

Nope!!

How about when you are holding them and can tell they are about to poop and you put your other hand under them to catch it so it doesn't hit the furniture or floor...lol and no one says anything except "I'll get you a tissue".

Oh I'm glad we're still on the poop subject. hubby told me he went out to do errands yesterday and went to store and all around and came home to realize he had a poop stuck on his shoulder!! Ha-ha!! (Sadly I was not around for the poop check) Priceless..

I just mostly don't care anymore. Only fellow bird owners will recognize it for what it is, and they will be amused more than grossed out.
Guests seem to find the poop catching trick impressive, even more so if I remove Tumi from them just at the right second to spare their clothing or catch it while they are still holding him.
