Amaranita, I think of him a lot. As much as you loved him, don't you feel another will help heal your broken heart. I know you come here and read and give advise, the whole time you heart is empty. Hugs

Yes I agree. (Not that we are forcing you into MBS, or anything! ) So sorry for your loss and best wishes in the future.

tijya will become famous soon enough

Getting Fifer really helped me cope with the failing health and eventual loss of one of my pets.

I understand. After over two years I still miss my beloved Cloud, my Umbrella Cockatoo terribly...at times I can still shed tears over her loss.

I thought I was posting on the Parrotlet Rainbow Bridge forum. That was the thread that I thought I was on. I would love to get another bird. But, my husband who began to work from home and had really bonded with Bigboy will have none of it. He now does not believe anyone should be in a cage. Also, not having a bird has allowed us to do a lot more traveling, which we had always loved. We really did not travel on big trips for the 8 years that we had him. So, for now I will enjoy your birds and pine for mine. Thanks for always making me feel welcome here.

I'm sorry I mentioned another species of bird here. I meant no offense. I just intended to share I understand a lingering grief. I did not mean to distract. My apologies.

They really do get to you, don't they. It's hard t believe that a bit of feathers and fluff can have such a big impact on us all. I definitely understand everyone's grief, and thank you all for your comfort and understanding of mine.
