    Thank you for your message and sorry I'm getting back to you so late. I will try that. He seems to have gotten a little better with the nippiness.

    Courtney, I asked my breeder about nippiness. He told me to: 1. In a towel hold the bird upside down, one eye open to you 2. calmly say "gentle beak" or "no" 3. put him back in his cage for a while, perhaps 10-20 min. or so. 4. Cover the cage if you desire. Repeat whenever he gets too nippy. It's not cruel, YOU are the boss in his world. Ollie has learned, knows "gentle beak" but still doesn't always mind me.
